Twisted yarns

From the classic concept of twisting, which only knew how to twist two or more yarns together, a variety of systems for finishing yarns have since emerged. Until 2017, the single yarn was first twisted up on Lezzeni twisting machines to produce cordonets. Then two to three of these single threads are twisted together in the opposite direction. The materials used are filament yarns such as viscose, polyamide and polyester. Today, these articles are double-wound on staple fibre winding machines at our locations in Germany and Switzerland.

Twisted yarns are distinguished from single yarns by increased uniformity and stability, less pilling and better abrasion resistance.
