Twisted yarns

From the classic concept of twisting, which originally only involved twisting two or more yarns together, a variety of systems for yarn finishing have since developed. In the production process, the single yarn is first strongly twisted. Then two to three of these single threads are twisted together in the opposite direction. The materials used are filament yarns such as viscose, polyamide, and polyester. Today, these yarns are double-wound on staple fiber winding machines at our site in Switzerland. Twisted yarns are distinguished from single yarns by increased uniformity and stability, less pilling and better abrasion resistance.
